START WITH YOUR OBJECTIVEBrand monitoring documents how your content and offers appear across markets. A proxy can add geographic observations; it does not, by itself, prove that a page is authentic or compliant.
Define what to observe
List your domains, authorized reseller pages, images and priority product references. Distinguish a presentation change from incorrect information or a missing offer. Define review criteria your team can understand.
Document each observation
Keep the exact URL, time, country context and a relevant screenshot. Pages may vary with visitor preferences, so record the language and session state. Do not infer a worldwide absence from a single failed connection.
Arrange human review
Group the observations and verify differences before taking any external action. A different logo, translation or product may have an authorized explanation. The record shows what appeared in a given context; it is not an automatic verdict.
An example workflow
For a brand sold in Japan and France, document the ja-JP and fr-FR versions, product references and local URLs. Compare what should actually appear in each market rather than expecting a pixel-for-pixel visual match.
What to record
URL, date, market, observed element, screenshot and reason for review.
